SenseAware by FedEx And Race Across America

How many of you have ever followed the well known bicycle race, Race Across America?   RAAM is one of the longest running sporting events in the world.   It is also known as the  “World’s Toughest Bicycle Race.”    This years bike race began in Oceanside, California  on June 16th and will end in Annapolis, Maryland between June 21st – 25th.

FedEx Custom Critical is sponsoring the Ohio CycleWorks bike team.  The team is raising money for the Akron Children’s Hospital.  FedEx Custom Critical is happy to be a proud supporter of the Akron Children’s Hospital and the Ohio CycleWorks team.

What a perfect opportunity to share the benefits of SenseAware® with you.  What is SenseAware?  I am glad you asked that question.  This is beyond what tracking use to be!

Pretty amazing isn’t it?   What has impressed me the most is how the information can be seen in real time.  All the way down to the temperature in the box.  My first thought was how important this could be in the medical field.  SenseAware will now allow healthcare providers the ability to monitor critical shipments.  The very kind that can help save the lives of the very children that Ohio CycleWorks is riding to support.

A SenseAware device is traveling with Scott Garchar and the team throughout the entire race.  I have had access to watch the device move across the United States.  Tonight the temperature is 86.2 degrees and it’s 2:30 a.m.  I will continue watching this device to see where and what kind of conditions the team is going through.  The heat across the United States has to be brutal on them.
