Weekend Wrap Up – TGIW (Thank Goodness It’s Weekend!)

We had a busy week (for summer)!  Emily was at Summer Hummer (A huge VBS) and had to be out of the house early every morning and didn’t get home until 4.  After she was home, I either went to work out or take her to hip hop.  Brad didn’t attend SH…it’s a little too big for him (900+ kids).  I watched his friend for a couple days and took them to see Spiderman or played lifeguard (this was a good excuse to be outside soaking up some sun).

By Friday, we were all pretty tired.  Once we were all settled in for the night we had some amazing thunderstorms roll in.  We rarely have summer storms but this was a big one…hours worth!  Our poor dog hid for most of the night.  I love storms but the kids were hoping they would go away quickly.

We worked on the shed most of the day on Saturday.  We finished the siding and did a little yard work.  I love days like Saturday.  Lots accomplished!!

Sunday we went down to see both of Scott’s grandma’s and his parents.  It was nice to be able to visit with everyone.  There was a tree hit by lightening just down the street from my in-laws…took 30 feet off the top and split into tons of pieces.  It was pretty amazing to see something like that.  The power of lightening!!

Another busy week is ahead of us, as we get ready for our annual vacation…lots to do before we leave.  I always feel the need to clean really good to because we have a house sitter and I want her to enjoy a nice clean home! :)

    Hours of thunderstorms? I HATE that! I’m giggling that you clean the house for the house sitter because I would too.

      Thanks girl…once we are back from vacay we will get it all painted up, add some shelves and then load it up. Can’t wait to see how much extra space it will give us in the garage!
