I don’t know what happened but our calendar has exploded. Between Emily’s activities of Hip Hop and Youth Group. Brad’s football practice three times a week and games to start this coming weekend. My evening workouts and new job schedule. Along with Scott’s work schedule and his commitment to Brad’s football schedule…we are BUSY! (School hasn’t even started yet either!)
We purposefully did not add anything to our weekend schedule so we could enjoy some time together. What did we do?
On Friday the temperature was still out of the normal in our area! It was 96 degrees! The kids and I went to the mall to finish up the last of their school clothes shopping. WE ARE DONE! Yay!!! We decided to go to Red Robin for dinner, where we could stay for awhile and enjoy the AC!
We woke up to a sky full of clouds on Saturday. It immediately felt cooler in the house, boy did we need that break. Our basketball hoop needed a replacement base. We decided this was the weekend to swap out the new base. What I thought would take maybe an hour, ended up taking us 3+ hours! Scott and I were so happy when it was finally done! Take sand out of the old one and getting it into the new one…sounds much easier than it was.
Sunday we went to the middle school. Brad and Scott practiced football plays while I walked 2-1/2 miles around the track. Emily did some running along with running plays with her brother. Once we got home we got the car washed and the lawn mowed while the kids swam at our place and the neighbors.
More NEW giveaways coming up this week! Be sure to stop by and check them out!

11 Days Left

We had rain off and on all weekend. We could have used some of your sun.
Saturday we got a few sprinkles in the relief of the heat. It’s really odd not seeing rain for over a month now. I am okay with that. I would much rather see a blue sky than a gray one!
