Weekend Wrap Up – Nails, Celebrities, Shopping and A Party

Yes, we did do everything listed in the title…and I am tired!

Our Friday started out nice and slow with a lazy morning.  After lunch one of our family friends picked up the kids and took them over to Evergreen State College.  Her two and our two spent the afternoon climbing rock walls and swimming.   What did I do?  I decided to just stay home, pay bills and get caught up on some blogging.  Emily had her best friend spend the night since we had fun Saturday all planned out.

We were up early and left our house to head to Seattle by 8:30 a.m.  All three of us were excited to meet Katie Cazorla from the Nail Files show on TV Guide Network.   She was touring and promoting her 2nd season coming up on August 19th.  She spent over 15 minutes with us one on one, picking our nail colors for our mini manicures, and getting to know us.   After we got off the Nail Files bus, she autographed pictures and handed each one of us some fun keepsakes from our time with her.   She was adorable and so personable.  Our family has become new fans of hers and will be watching her show this coming Sunday.  Emily and her friend talked about Katie the rest of the day…they were thrilled!

I treated the girls to lunch and then we headed to Tacoma Mall for some Back To School shopping.   Emily found almost 100 percent of her school clothes up there.  I need to fill in a few more of the necessities but she should be good to go.  If you are a local reader, be sure to check out my post on Wednesday.  I will be giving away a $50 Gift Certificate to the Tacoma Mall/Simon Mall affiliate.

Luckily Sunday was a relaxing morning.  Brad made muffins for breakfast (with my help).  Scott worked on filling up the shed while Emily and I took off for a bridal shower for a few hours.  Not much was done once we were home other than fixing dinner and relaxing.  All I can say is I am tired from all our running around.   It should be a relaxing week ahead with a short work day on Wednesday.  Hopefully Brad and I will be able to knock out his BTS shopping sometime this week.  But there is Football practice, Hip Hop and working out!

    Already done with back to school shopping??? Scotty and I are going this Thursday…then he’s going with my sisters and mom on Monday. I’m anxious to be done. I think I’m more nervous about school than he is!

    Oh what a great weekend! I am almost finished school shopping. I need to get Gav’s supplies still but doing that this weekend!
