Keeping Period Essentials Discreet With Kotex Tween Products

Our kids are all back in school!   How many of you are enjoying some free time?  I actually went back to work part-time so haven’t been able to enjoy too much free time yet.

The weeks before school started we pulled together all the school supplies we needed for both Emily and Brad.  We also packed some “extras” for Emily.

Those extras included a small cosmetic bag with deodorant, a brush, chap stick and a couple Kotex tween pads.  Her and I have talked about being prepared, whether she’s at home or school.  I remember having a small bag in my locker for those times I needed them…and those essentials came in hand more times than not.

Emily and I have had more conversations over the summer on what to expect and some of the first signs and changes her body is going through.  She is asking some great questions and I am thrilled to see this open door.

As a Kotex Mom Ambassador, I was introduced to their tween line several months ago.  You must go out and purchase these for your daughter.  They are packaged in trendy colors and decorations.  The pads and liners are slightly smaller than your typical pad.  I honestly wish they had these when I was younger.  I know they are made for tweens but I have been using them too.  Perfect for those light days!

How have you helped your daughter get ready for her period?  Did you put together a bag with a few essentials?  What did you include that I may have forgotten?  This is my first and only daughter so I am trying to remember what I went through…but it was years ago.
