Career Coaching In The Pacific Northwest

Many of you know I just went back to work after 12 years of staying home with the kids.   I was laid off the month I found out I was pregnant with Emily so it worked in my favor to be able to stay home during the entire pregnancy.   As the years went by, I always thought about going back to school in Elementary Education.  There are times when I regret not majoring in Education.

I wasn’t really sure the entire process of going back to school, transcripts etc., so never pursued it any further.

If I had only known about Noomii, http://www.noomii.com/career-coach-seattle-washington, a resource for local career coaches here in Seattle.  They could have helped me walk through this entire career change process.

So many companies have had to downsize in our recent economy.  This might be the answer in helping you find the perfect job.  Here are two recent articles that talk about career coaching, the first being: http://careeralley.com/career-advice/careers/a-career-coach-to-keep-you-on-track/ and this one: http://www.positionignition.com/blog/2012/9/6/what-to-look-for-in-a-career-coach.html.

Hopefully these articles can jump start your career move, change in career or help in finding a job in general.

I am happy to say I have made the right decision in going back to work.  My new job is the perfect fit and I can honestly say, I have never been happier working outside of the home.  The best part is I am working in the Early Learning and Education programs at a local community college…extremely close to what I wanted to do.
