I won’t complain, although I may get grumpy after looking at a messy house for a few days. Now that I have added part-time work to my schedule, I am noticing the house is much more cluttered and it’s not the “clean” I like it to be. I’m thinking it’s time to incorporate daily chores instead of spending 3 hours on my day off getting the house clean.
I have so much respect for the families who have two working parents or the single mom who does it all. You amaze me! The last few days, I have been thinking of those 15 hours a week I use to spend at home. Not all of it was spent cleaning but it definitely made a difference.
Going back to work has been wonderful and I wouldn’t trade it for the world. I just need to find my happy “clean” place around here. I would love to know how you manage the cleaning as a working mom?

I don’t do a great job and I am at home. I don’t know what will happen when I go back to work next year.
I think it’s finding the right routine that works! I am going to try and come up with some sort of plan this weekend.
I hear you. I guess we’re all going through the same thing this month! I just wrote a before-and-after” post, with pics (eek!) of my “cleaning” routine.

Let me know if it helps!
What a great tip! I am going to implement this beginning next week. Going to make a fun chart with all our rooms in the house.
Although, not working anymore, when I went back to work for a year I just wanted to come home and sleep. I did everything real quick at night when the kids went to bed and did a deep clean on Sunday’s. I wore myself out. I hope you get a routine down!
I know you and I are a lot alike with our cleaning so to know you felt tired too, makes me feel better! I will be working on a system this weekend.
I’ve been feeling a little worn out to…I actually missed Salmon Days this weekend and took it off! I have Ila 3 days a week now, which leaves me two days to get all the other things done (yardwork, errands, house cleaning, etc). And? I keep volunteering with the PTA and somehow ended up on the PTA board. I’m going nuts…share any secrets you come up with! As it is now? I just have a two page to-do list that I never seem to get everything done!
