V8 V-Fusion + Energy Review and Giveaway

I am not a huge fan of the syrupy energy drinks on the market.  They give me the jitters and so I usually pass on them.   I decided to try V8 V-Fusion + Energy, knowing it was natural energy made from green tea, 1 combined serving of fruits and vegetables along with only 50 calories.

Emily and I went grocery shopping last week and we found the Pomegranate Blueberry at our Safeway.  They are also available in Peach Mango but our store does not stock that flavor as of right now.

My first reaction was “not bad!”    It didn’t have that concentrated sugary taste that usually makes me pucker.  It tasted more like a sparkling juice.  I took another drink and thought “this is really good” and drank the rest of the can within the next few minutes.

I decided to try this on my day off as I was not sure how I would feel.  Like I mentioned before, I usually get the jitters and wanted to be home in case that happened.   It gave me a power boost without all the side effects.  Would I drink this every day?  Probably not, only because I love my coffee.  As a refreshing drink and an added boost of energy, it definitely would be my go to drink.  My husband will be taking a few of these to work for that 2 o’clock lull we all tend to get.

I have 3 coupons to give away to ONE winner so you can try it out yourself and share with a friend.  The coupons are good for a 6-pack of V8 V-Fusion + Energy  in Peach Mango or Pomegranate Blueberry.  Please note:  These coupons are redeemable only at Safeway.

I will make this an easy entry.  Tell me what energy drink you drink or have tried.  Did you like it?  (Leave your answer in the comments.)

I will close the coupon giveaway on November 20th, 2012 at 9 p.m. PST.  The winner will be chosen by the Word Press Plug-in “And The Winner Is.”  Open to US!  (Be sure you have a Safeway in your area!)

Disclosure:  V8 on behalf of  Smiley360 provided  the free sample coupons (and V8 logo products) of their V8 V-Fusion + Energy so I could review them.  However, all of the opinions expressed here are my own.

  1. I need to try this. I get the 2 o’clock lull too.

  2. To be honest, I was turned off energy drinks by Red Bull. I think it tastes disgusting, and I do not understand how people can drink it! However, I love the idea of it, so I’d love to find one that I don’t find gross.

    Thanks!
