LOVESICK by Spencer Seidel – Book Giveaway – CLOSED

Are you looking for a hard to put down, page turner?  I found one for you!  Lovesick by Spencer Seidel.  He has written one that will keep you guessing.  Just when you think you have it all figured out, you don’t!  I love books like this.  There are a few prominent characters in this book and Seidel brings each one to life.  They were so believable…you wanted to believe a few, and others you doubted.   I don’t want to giveaway the story so opted to share with you the authors description of Lovesick.

Late one night out on the Eastern Promenade Trail in Portland, Maine, the police discover an incoherent teenager sitting in a pool of blood, holding the body of his best friend and the murder weapon. The girl they both love has been missing for weeks.  The kid’s jealousy clearly drove him to murder. He says the missing girl is the love of his life. She also happens to be the girlfriend of the murder victim.  It’s an open and shut case, or so most of Portland thinks. 

Dr. Lisa Boyers, forensic psychologist, receives a call from an old friend, a connection to her troubled past. Attorney Rudy Swaner wants her to interview the young killer Paul Ducharme, who is claiming he doesn’t remember the events leading up to the murder. 

In her jailhouse interviews, Lisa helps Paul to recover his memories. But something about Paul’s disturbing love story shakes Lisa to the very core of her being. To understand Paul, she is forced to confront her own ugly, violent secrets. 

Media attention mounts. Reporters stream into Portland. All eyes turn to the psychologist who seems intent on exonerating the vicious teen killer. Soon Lisa finds herself the focus of an over-zealous reporter with a knack for digging up dirty secrets.  But the killer who has Lisa in the crosshairs already knows them all.

Fit Moms For Life: How To Have Endless Energy To Outplay Your Kids – #Book Review

I have been one of those girls who has struggled losing weight and keeping it off.   A year after Brad was born, I saw a  picture of myself and it shook me into reality, that I was overweight.   For the next 5 months I worked extremely hard and lost 32 pounds!  I was so proud and I finally felt good about myself.   It has been 7 years since I lost the weight and about 20 pounds (it was 30) that have crept back on.  I could make up a lot of reasons as to why I have gained the weight back but there isn’t a good excuse.

When I lost those original 32 pounds I learned a lot.  I have a good knowledge of what foods to eat and what not to eat.  I just need some reminders (and will power) along my journey.

I was sent the Fit Moms For Life:  How To Have Endless Energy To Outplay Your Kids advanced copy a month ago and have been reading it that last few weeks.  Dustin Maher has made it his personal mission to help 1 million moms get into shape.   To help us, he has written this book to give us the instructions on how to get there.  He also has a different approach with being anti-cardio.   I loved reading the stories of moms just like us who have been successful on his plan.

He covers every aspect of healthy living from the foods you eat to the exercises you need to do.  This is a book that will take you from feeling frumpy to feeling so much better about yourself and giving you all the healthy steps to make the changes.

I highly recommend this book.  The book will be released on December 5, 2011.  If you take a look at Amazon at the reviews already written about his book you will be amazed.  5 Stars from all 36 people who have had a chance to read it…and I would also give it 5 stars.  I am actually going to reread the book because there is so much great information.  I want to make sure I understand everything I need to do, to be successful.
