Weekend Wrap Up – A Typical Weekend!

Photobucket
Did you have a great weekend?  I hope so!  I saw the East Coast felt some sunny weather, while Tennessee and Alabama had to deal with LOTS of rain.  (If you live in those states, I hope you and your family were safe from it all.)  We had a rain free weekend, some sun and clouds.  A pretty typical day in the NW.

Friday was my first day all week where I didn’t have to be anywhere.  I took advantage of my morning and enjoyed every minute of it.  The house needed some cleaning.  I had been so busy all week so it had been neglected.  Cleaning and laundry were my focus and I am happy to say, by the end of the weekend 100% of the laundry was washed AND put away!

I enjoyed sleep in days, Saturday and Sunday.  (I am in such a good mood when I get my sleep!)  Scott worked on the shed all weekend and he got a ton done.   The kids must of needed a down day since they spent most of the day just hanging out.  It didn’t help that all their friends were gone for the day.  I think everyone is ready for summer vacation.  (9 more days!)

Scott was back at working on the shed on Sunday.  I helped him get the felt applied before I left for a Family Fun Day at the gym.   The kids brought the neighbor girls with us and they had so much fun doing all the activities.  I did 3-30 minute workouts; Zumba, Body Pump and Turbo Jam.  We were wanting to share the 90 Day Win exercise program I am part of.  There was a Visalus booth too, so I helped run it when I wasn’t exercising.  I am pretty sure I wore out all 4 kids along with myself!  We got home, helped Scott put the window in the shed and then ran for dinner.  (I will admit, I didn’t eat too healthy tonight…just hoping the scale doesn’t reflect it in the morning.)

That was our weekend.  What did you do, anything fun?  This is the last week for the Children’s Miracle Network #Miracle Moms campaign.  If you can donate anything, even $5, you will get me closer to my goal.  Paypal is now accepted which I am so happy about.  Watch for my last post this Wednesday, the 13th.

Have a great week!

Weekend Wrap Up – A Ding, A Shower, A Run And A Nap!

Photobucket

What a whirlwind of a weekend.  I thought the last few weekends had been busy, and this was no different.

Friday morning, I watched  my best friends 3 adorable kids while she went to her doctor appointment.   I am so excited for her and her family as she is going to have a baby girl at the end of next month.  It warms my heart when her little guy tells me “I have missed you!” and gives me a big hug or the girls tell her to be slow as she leaves each time.

I had some errands to run after I left her house.  As I was on my way home, I unfortunately was rear ended at a stop light.  My afternoon turned from a carefree day to a day full of running to the insurance company and the collision center to get an estimate.   The kid who ran into me was cooperative which did make this a bit better…and we started the claim with his insurance right at the scene.

Things like this stress me out!  Once everyone came home we went to dinner and they let me choose since I was still upset about my car.  Red Robin it was…I am still addicted to their grilled turkey burger but I now get it wrapped in lettuce.  A great way to drop extra calories from my meal.

Saturday was another busy day.  I was running the Capital City 5 miler on Sunday morning so I had to go and pick up my registration packet.   Emily went downtown with me and then we headed back home before I went to Debbie’s baby shower.  I was home right before dinner so Scott BBQ’d some yummy chicken for us.

I was up entirely too early on Sunday morning.  I AM SO NOT A MORNING PERSON!!!  My friend Jenn had asked if I wanted to run with her a few weeks ago because her daughter wasn’t going to be able to make it.   Obviously, I said yes.  Once I found parking, I met up with her and a couple other 90 Day Win friends from the program.   We took our pictures before the race and before the rain began.  (Yep, ran in the rain…not may favorite.)  This was an entirely different feel from the itty bitty 5K I ran a few years ago.  This run was a 5 miler, 1/2 marathon and a full marathon…so there were thousands of people.  It definitely was more fun running with people than alone.  (My friend Jenn has lost 47 pounds on Visalus and I have lost 10, with 15 more to go!)

Once home, I crashed.  We had lunch and I settled in on the couch and fell asleep.  Up at 6 a.m. and running 5 miles is not my normal body’s routine.   I am so glad we were able to just enjoy a quiet Sunday at home.

Monday, I am hoping to get my car in for fixing.  I have an appointment, just waiting to hear back from the insurance company.   Emily starts track tomorrow too…besides getting myself to Zumba by 6 p.m.  It looks like another busy day!

I have some great posts scheduled this week so be on the look out for those!  Enjoy your week!

Weekend Wrap -It Was A Busy One!

Photobucket
This was one of those weekends that had lots of ups and downs.

Last week, Emily was home for two days with a virus bug.   By Friday she was back at school and I needed to run some errands.  Scott took a half of day off,  so once we were both home we took a quick walk around the neighborhood before the kids arrived home.  Brad came home complaining of a headache, we knew he wasn’t feeling good when he went upstairs, put on his PJ bottoms then crawled on the couch and didn’t want to move.    He was running a 100.1 degree fever.

Going to bed that night, I figured Brad and I would stay home instead of going to Raymond, which had been our original plan.   Scott woke me up at 7:15 a.m. and told me Brad didn’t have a fever and wanted to go with us.  We made the decision to all go down there but if he started feeling bad, he would need to rest.

Saturday had a plan of action.  To clean out Scott’s Grandmas house!  She had lived there over 70 years and recently moved closer to Scott’s Dad and Aunt.  There were 5 adults and 3 kids working on it.  So much was accomplished and so much more needs to be done.  Our plan is to head back down there next weekend for another day of it and then hopefully be prepared for a garage sale the following weekend.

After we left Raymond, we headed up to Lake Sylvia where my SIL and BIL were camping.  They live about 2 hours away so found a campsite so they could stay an extra day.

We went up there, relaxed, had dinner and the boys went fishing.   By the time we made it home it was late and we crashed.

Sunday was spent doing things around the house.  I have been dragging the last few days, hoping I am not coming down with what the kids had.  I decided to take a nap and catch up on some extra rest.  Our dog has been waking up every morning around 2:20 a.m.  Getting up morning after morning, it begins to catch up with me.

Brad and I will going on a field trip this morning to Fido Farms.  I heard we were herding chickens and taking care of baby goats.  I will be sure to take some pictures.  This is a busy week for me personally and for the blog.  I have some great giveaways going live this week and next, so be on the lookout!

Have a great week!
